All our workshops are available both as Zoom webinars, for your staff working from home, and in person at your office, when it’s time to come back!

Working from home and achieving good ergonomic setups with our ‘home’ desk, chair and computer is a challenge right now.

The desks and chairs at our office locations will most probably have been set up in the correct configuration for each individual to maintain comfort and good posture, thus preventing skeletal and muscular problems and ensuring general good mental health as well. With most of us working at our desks for between 6-8 hours on average per day it is essential to try and achieve the best workstation we can with what we have available at home.

 

Correct posture and better body alignment is essential to our physical and mental wellbeing. We often find ourselves hunched over our laptops, encouraging these bad postural habits that result in all sorts of problems and discomforts: muscular stress and pain, spinal problems, circulation deficiency, headaches, loss of focus and concentration, irritability, breathing problems, digestive problems and decline in the optimum working of our immune systems. When you sit correctly the whole function of your internal organs works better, too.  If your posture is collapsed and sagging, your organs are too, leading to all sorts of health problems that doctors might not readily identify as being posture-related.

In this workshop, Lynn will explain why posture is so crucial for our overall physical and mental health and wellbeing. She’ll demonstrate good posture techniques, and work with you to adapt your workstation, using the furniture that you already have at home.  The result? Not only will you feel more comfortable but you will find it easier to develop better postural habits.
